The GRFMA is a registered employer’s organization in terms of the Labour Relations Act and represents and serves employers (businesses) in the furniture manufacturing industry as a collective. The GRFMA is party to the Furniture Bargaining Council and represents its members in collective bargaining with Unions at an Industry level. Collective bargaining at this level includes negotiations regarding conditions of employment and wages.
Our mission is to celebrate and promote the diverse furniture making skills in the Garden Route of South Africa. With the largest indigenous forests in our country, the Garden Route has a proud history of quality woodcraft and furniture manufacture which we continue to evolve responsibly today. We believe that you can add value to tradition through innovation, creativity and knowledge and that we have the modern manufacturing skills to realise your next project.
Our members' products and manufacturing services include indigenous and exotic solid wood and veneered furniture, decor, upholstery, curtains, blinds, outdoor furniture, office furniture, shop fitting, built-in cupboards, kitchens, flooring, decking and custom manufacturing to order.
