'Die Nutsman' Returns to SABC 2

Riaan Garforth-Venter, South Africa's best loved DIY guru, returns to SABC 2 on Saturday 8, May for the fifth season of his ever popular TV series'DIY Met Riaan' on air every Saturday morning at 08h30. Regarded as the country's pioneering DIY series, Riaan aims to take this season to another level with brand new and innovative DIY tips and ideas for your home and garden and everything in between to help aspiring DIY audiences do it themselves in a creative and healthier way.

Throughout this new season, Riaan educates viewers to empower themselves by showing just how easy most jobs around the home can be, and in the process save them a great deal of money while improving the value of their homes. This series will also concentrate on affordable money-saving, eco-friendly options that save households an incredible amount of money while creating a healthier home environment for adults, children and even pets.

States Riaan Garforth-Venter:" Since my days as a school teacher I've always been passionate about passing on knowledge and empowering people to gain self confidence by being as self sustainable as possible and independent. DIY can be a great pastime for the entire family and in the process adults can educate their children on how to maintain a healthy and safe home."

DIY Met Riaan will not be on air from 12 June - 10 July 2010 due to the broadcast of the FIFA World Cup. The series will then resume on the 17 July 2010 until 4 December 2010.
