Cape Town grand prix in pole position

The Grand prix is one of the world’s largest and most watched sporting events and the Mother City, Cape Town in South Africa has placed a bid for the formula 1 race to be back on South African soil. The Cape Town grand prix is bound to be a grand event and it looks positive for the city to successfully host the race.

Cape Town grand prix want to have the formula 1 race become an annual event on the calendar and the position of the Cape Town grand prix will become one cemented in the heart of the city. Cape Town grand prix have a shared vision with other individuals to position Cape Town as one of the world’s top ten tourist destinations in terms of economic yield and the development of tourism. There will not be a built track but instead the streets of  Green point will be utilized. The Cape Town f1 grand prix circuit will be located on a street circuit in the Green Point Sport Tourism precinct in Cape Town. The Cape Town grand prix bid company explains how the circuit will flow through the iconic Green Point stadium that was utilized for many soccer world cup 2010 games. They also explain that utilizing current roads is more economically viable than a purpose built track. There will be a once off upgrade of the existing roads and occasional maintenance.
