South African Food Industry Set To Be "Outsauced"

CAPE TOWN (August 29, 2011) - a new online takeaway ordering website has been launched to revolutionise the South African hospitality industry, allowing customers to order food online instead of through a telephone.

Why not  just pick up a telephone? According to Webb, ordering food telephonically allows for miscommunication, loss of information and ultimately mistakes in an order. Webb explains that allowing customers to order online eliminates the potential for errors as users have to “click on what they want” and extra information and prices are displayed right next to their order in real-time. 

FetchMyDinner.co.za is an online platform connecting customers to takeaways and restaurants in their local areas.  The website functions as a price-comparison platform for South African takeaways and restaurants as well as an online food ordering and table booking system.
