Visit The Roodepoort Museum
Until April 2012, Roodepoort Museum is hosting an exhibition of porcelain pieces manufactured by Royal Doulton, the famous British porcelain company, which has been synonymous with beauty, craftsmanship and innovation for almost 250 years.
The exhibition features fine examples of tableware and ornamental products, including vases, ornaments, figurines, series ware such as Dickensware as well examples of the colourful character jugs that Doulton is famous for.
Roodepoort Museum is well known for it’s phenomenal decorative arts collection and this exhibition offers visitors the opportunity to view some of the Doulton gems in the collection: Early Victorian art pottery; very rare examples of flambé ware designed by Charles Noke in the 1920s and figurines from the Art Deco era. A must see for all Doulton enthusiasts!
