Buy-Environmental Exhibition Trade Show

The inaugural Buy-environmental Conference will open its exhibition doors to the public on the 9-10^th of June 2009. The official event of the environmental goods and services forum South Africa and endorsed by the department of trade and industry is aimed at private and public procurement decision makers. The Conference will feature international and local leading speakers such as Michael Braungart and Catharena van Zyl from Germany, Edward Warcaba from Australia and Dr. Johan van Zyl from the Toyota South Africa.

The environmental goods and services sector is the fasted growing sector in the world, with trade of $548 billion in 2006 and is expected to reach $688 billion by 2010! We all need to be ready for the new green economy and the way in which it will affect South Africa’s import and export industry and economy.

Event director, Gordon Brown, believes that the exhibition should be available for the general public to view as environmental buying choice effect’s everyone, including the home-owner. The exhibition will be in a vibrant, interactive environment, where exhibitors will have the ability to interact one on one with the public and delegates attending the conference.

General home and business owners trying to ‘green’ their home and business but not sure where to get the materials, goods and services will be able to come through on the two days and engage with the latest trends, technologies and materials available in the environmental goods and services sector movement.

A few of the sectors that the exhibition will be covering are water-management, air quality, cleaner production, energy efficiency and waste management.

The Buy-Environmental Exhibition will have environmental goods and services companies exhibiting at their show on the 9-10 June 2009 at the Vodaworld Convention Centre, Midrand Johannesburg, South Africa. The Buy-Environmental trade Show and Conference 2009 is a business to business conference designed to expose corporate buyers & government to the latest international trends, services & technologies in the EGS sector. The conference hopes to achieve this through case studies, spreading the knowledge on the practice of ‘going green and sustainable business’ and giving the latest on national and international trends, technologies, goods and services available in the green movement.
