Moreira Gears Up for Luanda Jazz festival

Legendary jazz saxophonist, Moreira Chonguica has been invited to perform on Saturday 30 July at the 3rd annual Luanda International Jazz Festival taking place at the Cine Atlantico in Luanda, from Friday 29 July to Sunday 31 August. The jazz festival will present nineteen world renowned jazz musicians for a musical jazz sensation.

Moreira will showcase many of his well known songs from his two albums, The Moreira Project: Vol 1 - The Journey and Vol 2 - Citizen of the World, which have earned him multiple SAMA awards over the years. Moreira interprets his songs differently every time he performs them and this show will be no exception. The selection of his unique style of jazz funk will take audiences on an Afro World Jazz journey to remember.

The following top acts will also be performing - Dee Dee Bridgewater, Simmons Massini, Mayra Andrade, Spyro Gyra, Emmanuel Kanda, Rui Veloso, Jonathon Butler, DJ Black Coffee and South Africa’s Liquideep. More names are to be released at the beginning of July.
