The Perfect Woman

By Michele Smith, 07.04.11 | Comments

What is the perfect woman?

How does one define perfect ?

Is perfect different for every individual?

Most of us desire for the perfect body, but  do we really know what qualifies as 'perfect'.  The problem with perfection, more often than not, is that it cannot easily be defined!

Can you be a curvaceous size 16 woman and still love who you are ?  Can you still look good in doing it ?

Why is it that a size 8 is prone to easier accepting and loving themself than a size 16?

Is this due to the way society and media publicise a size 8 as opposed to a size 16 women ?

The media has directed and taught women to believe that the perfect female body should be a size 8 or less.

Surely the perfect women is someone who oozes confidence, loves herself and takes time to groom and present herself in a stunning manner. Body size does not impact this and trust me, every person has a different body preference when it comes to perfect.

Are you a Curvy Woman who is battling with accepting and being happy with who you are? Do you want to look like those women whom the media and society have defined as perfect? Today I want you to think about this, if you answer yes to these questions, start asking yourself why? Is it because you have not taken care of yourself and the way you present yourself? Is it maybe an unhealthy lifestyle, or unflattering clothing? Do you feel that you don’t need to look good because ‘who would want you anyway’?

Well ladies the fact is people love you for who you are and not for what you are. Men are definitely not opposed to curvy women, some even prefer them. In many cultures, curvy women are considered to be more fertile and more desirable. So if everyone else loves you, how come only you aren't satisfied? Even for a curvy body, the perfect female body measurements criteria remain the same: the waist-to-hip ratio.

Why not instead of judging and criticizing who you are, find something that makes you look good or feel sexy, it could be an outfit or piece of lingerie, a book, a magazine such as Curvy SA, or even something different such as a social network targeted specifically at curvy women and men who love them.

In my opinion, a positive impact for me, was discovering the site www.curvyonline.com. Its free to join, and allows a great platform to speak to other curvy women as well as get the confidence boost by being admired by men who love a little extra. On top of this, Curvy Online also hosts functions in South Africa targeted specifically for members of the Curvy Community.

Abroad there are numerous sites catering for the BBW (Big Beautiful Woman) market and these have thousands of members, proving that Curvy can be just as Cute...

In conclusion, perfection is merely a state of mind and lies in the eye of the beholder.
