Hunter’s Country House Presents A New Culinary Indulgence This Autumn

Hunter’s Country House, Plettenberg Bay, part of the award-winning Hunter Hotels Group and a proud member of the Relais & Châteaux Association, invites guests and day visitors to indulge in its newly created menu called ‘Dinner – the Autumn edition’, created by Head Chef, Tanja Kruger, in the ever popular Sage Restaurant.
This extensive new menu format affords guests the opportunity to choose from an array of menu options such as the Chef’s Choice four course menu - R325 including coffee, Chef’s Choice three course menu - R275, Chef’s Choice two course menu - R198 and the Chef’s Choice one course menu - R160 per person.
For the starter, guests can enjoy the Chef’s daily inspired soup, followed by the second course consisting of a selection of decadent dishes such as cauliflower, sweet corn and truffle custard, the Plettenberg Bay hake ceviche, petit aubergine roulade and oxtail ravioli. Main course offers smoked tomato risotto, asparagus and mushroom bolognaise, asparagus and mushroom bolognaise and Port Elizabeth farmed prawn curry, beef bourguignon - amongst many other tantalising tastes.Decadent desserts includes the celebrated Hunter’s famous soufflé, choc-berry bliss, caramelized pineapple, passion fruit and vanilla panna cotta, cinnamon pain perdu and more.
A fine selection of unique local cheeses are served with biscuits, freshly sliced fruit and preserves for R90 per person supplement for cheese course and a tasting portion at R52 per supplement.
