Grande Provence Harvest Festival Attracts New Wine Enthusiasts
Guests were greeted at the Estate with coffee and muffins before being taken into the vineyards by tractor to experience firsthand the harvesting process of selecting and harvesting the grapes by hand. Guests were also taken on a tour of the extensive wine cellar where they witnessed the wine making process in action and experienced a barrel wine tasting with the Estate’s award-winning Winemaker, Jaco Marais. The cellar tour was followed by traditional grape stomping and an extensive braai buffet hosted by Executive Chef, Darren Roberts. Guests were also able to sample the Estate’s multi-award winning wines which included 2011’s new wine releases, the vintage Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 and Viognier / Chenin Blanc Blend 2010.
Comments General Manager, Amanda Roberts, “The sell out Harvest Festival demonstrates that wine lovers are indeed on the increase and by Estates creating events such as this one, it makes the wine tasting experience more accessible to one and all.”
