What Is Rehab?

Drug rehab (often called drug rehabilitation or rehab) is a term used for the processes of medical and/or psychotherapeutic treatment, for dependency on psycho-active substances such as alcohol, prescription drugs and so-called street drugs such as Tik/Methamphetamines; Cannabis; Cocaine; Crack; Heroin. It is also common for those with eating disorders; gambling; sex addiction and other compulsive behaviours to seek admission. The general goal of rehab is to help the patient to cease substance abuse, in order to avoid (or not continue) the psychological, legal, financial, social, and physical consequences that can be caused. The rehab programme would give the patient understanding of their addiction and a programme to recover from their old lifestyle. With years of professional addiction treatment experience the team at Go4Rehab will assist you with with choosing the correct treatment for re-building your life and recovering from drug addiction; alcoholism; eating disorders; gambling; sex addiction and internet addiction. We refer to rehab centers world-wide. The most popular are in Cape Town; Plettenberg Bay; Johannesburg; U.K. and Thailand.

About The Author:
After spending a great deal of time and money addressing his addiction Nick the founder, was fortunate to attend a recognised world-class rehab clinic in 2000. He completed the in-patient primary and secondary care treatment program and 'recovery' has given him the opportunity to work at a university counselling service; several voluntary organisations and complete his B.A. Hons (1st Class) and M.A. Counselling Degrees from Leeds University, England.

Thereafter, he became an addiction counsellor at several addiction rehab centres in Europe and Africa. Travelling the world, he has also visited numerous rehabs across Asia and recognised many treatment options are available. However, an addiction specialist is needed to give the individual guidance to access the most suitable treatment. Therefore, A.T.C. was founded and with over twenty years of addiction experience and 10 years of professional guidance he and those at A.T.C. will help you find cost-effective life-changing treatment.
