Studio Cocoa Moon introduces first collection of unique art jewellery to lovers of all things fashion

Nancy Nichting of Studio Cocoa Moon grew up in the Netherlands, and relocated to Johannesburg in the early nineties. An artist her whole life, Nancy has been designing jewellery as a creative outlet for as long as she can remember. Her labour of love has now really become a focus and a purpose for her, and her jewellery collection and skill level continuously grows as she voraciously tracks down various intriguing materials and absorbs more about the craft as she goes along.

Nancy Nichting believes jewellery is wearable art and a beautiful, soulful form of self-expression. She designs and creates with the notion that each piece should tell its own unique story, often building her pieces around a certain theme and mood, and always infusing them with their own special personality and charm. She lets the design develop organically as she creates it – the pieces sometimes seeming to take on a life of their own.

Nancy uses a wide variety of materials in her designs such as wood, rubber, leather, re-purposed materials and oftentimes incorporating vintage treasures to render them limited edition or one-of-a-kind show stoppers.

High levels of craftsmanship and exclusivity are guaranteed, as she hand makes each piece of jewellery in her studio. Her collection is rapidly expanding and she looks forward to every new adventure that will add to her story.
