For this Valentine’s culinary evening, on Saturday 12 February 2011, guests pay just R295 per person and a live band performing soundtracks from the chosen movies will entertain guests throughout the evening.
Guests also have the option to stay the night with the Valentines accommodation package at R1870 per room with bed and breakfast inclusive and a special romantic turndown with a bottle of bubbly.
Executive Chef, Guy Gorrie has created individual food stations throughout the Imbizo Hall, themed according to a specific ‘all time romantic movie favourite’ and matched the appropriate cuisine such as - Cleopatra that offers a selection of oysters, classic, tempura and Rockefeller - Dirty Dancing - prawn cocktail with avocado and cucumber salsa, tempura prawns and a smoked salmon tower - the Titanic food station with an extensive selection of sushi, seared Norwegian salmon with buttered spinach, tempura fish. sushi, salmon, tuna and vegetable – Greece -slow roasted lamb with garlic, olive oil, rosemary, olives and roast potatoes, mezzo platter with hummus, tzatziki, flat bread, pepper dews, feta and olives or the Beauty & The Beast food station offering spatchcock baby chicken served with green beans, peri peri chicken livers. The grand finale of all romantic movies, Casablanca - vanilla meringue, passion fruit ice cream and whipped cream, strawberries and cream, chocolate coated strawberries and chocolate raspberry Napoleons.
One lucky couple also stands the chance to win the ‘Bring your tooth brush’ prize of one night in Hotel Izulu's new Romance Suite and a further night at Cleopatra Mountain Lodge, both of which are part of the Best of KZN Association.
