Presented in a convenient recyclable bag, containing cutting boards and utensils, order your picnic bag for 2, which includes a delicious selection of summer-inspired delicacies such as – a selection of tapas, hummus, dolmades, smoked black and green olives with fresh nectarines, sweet piquante peppers wrapped with Parma ham, vanilla and lime prawns, bruschetta of herb dried plum tomatoes, leaf salad, goats cheese and a basil dressing, Indian spiced chicken Caesar salad with garlic croutons, white anchovies and fresh summer leaves, charcuterie of African game served with toasted brioche and spicy organic tomato chutney. Oaked smoked Scottish salmon wrap with bean sprouts, confit capsicum, crispy lettuce and a honey and mustard dressing, wooden cheese board with a wedge of Huguenot cheese, Winelands camembert, Tulbagh blue, cheese biscuits and biltong sticks, dark chocolate and roasted nuts brownie. Water is also included in the picnic and should guests wish to create their own designer picnic this too can be arranged with advanced notice.
The cost is R300.00 per picnic and guests may order from the Kurland Hotel or The Pavilion and collect it from The Pavillion at the Kurland Polo fields, where they are welcome to relax and enjoy the days' polo and purchase refreshments from The Pavillion Bar.
