The Much Anticipated Angels Exhibition Opens at Grande Provence

'The Gallery' at the award-winning Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate, Franschhoek, is proud to host, for its fifth year, the ever popular Christmas exhibition aptly called ‘Angels’, which is open from Sunday 5, December at 11h00 until January 2011. This unique exhibition explores ‘Angels’ as a theme through the interpretation of artists and onlookers.

‘The Pebbles Project’, a community art programme established to enrich the lives of children from disadvantaged backgrounds in the Winelands, will showcase 15 large scale acrylic paintings in the ‘The Project Room’ at ‘The Gallery’. These paintings will also be on sale and proceeds made will further assist in meeting the dire needs of these children and allow them the opportunity to celebrate in the festive spirit of Christmas.

The Angels exhibition will showcase works by leading, contemporary South African painters, sculptors, printmakers, photographers and designers. Participating artists include Lourens Joubert, Madelein Marincowitz, Brahm van Zyl, MJ Lourens, Michelle Nigrini, Henning Ludeke, Gavin Rain, Judy Woodborne, Rhett Martyn, Dale Yudelman, Willie van Rensburg, Thokozani Mthiyani, Liekie Fouché, Bongi Bengu, Karin Maritz, Donna McKellar, Nico Erasmus, Marius Lourens, Anton Smit, Karin Lijnes, Ditta Engel, Sarel Petrus, Jupiter Studios, Jaco Sieberhagen, Uwe Pfaff, Sally Arnold, Riaan Chambers, Boitumelo Sewing Project, The Pebbles Project, Marcelle Sprong,  Margaret Woermann, Julie Lovelace, Elizabeth Balcomb, Kerry-Jane Lowery, Graeme Williams, Frank van Reenen and Natalie Moens.
