Dave's Flash & Dash for Cash for SAEP
At the end of April this year, Dave "Dingo" Marshall will be running his fifth annual 5K - completely naked. Each year, Marshall runs his "Flash & Dash for Cash" to raise money from his friends for a local charity.
Why does he do it? Dingo says, "I love running, I love to express myself and I love to make a difference. Running 5 kilometers naked for an extremely worthwhile charity allows me to fulfil many of my passions all at once!"
Marshall's beneficiary this year is the South African Education and Environment Project (SAEP), a non-profit run by a Rosebank resident, Jane Keen, and operating out of offices in Rondebosch.
Funds raised by Marshall's bold run will support SAEP's "Matric Success" programme, which sends skilled tutors into two Cape Flats township high schools to help Grade 12 learners prepare for success on their matric.
Another reason to give generously: One SAEP supporter from the USA has pledged to contribute $1,000 (almost R10,000) if Marshall is able to raise R60,000 from his friends!!
Please join your community in this courageous campaign by making a tax-deductible donation to SAEP this month.
Donations can be made by credit card at www.saep.org and on Facebook at www.causes.com/saep.
Cheques, payable to SAEP, can be sent to 10 Surbiton Road, Rosebank 7700. Please indicate "Flash & Dash" on your cheque. SAEP is a registered South African non-profit (028-310-NPO) and a Public Benefit Organisation (PBO 930007673).
