Independent Website Designer Takes Durban By Storm

Wayne Mc Connell, The South African Website Designer has taken Durban by Storm. This Local Durban Graphic Designer has had his creative artwork pasted all over the internet. This young man has truly made a splash on the internet. It can clearly be seen, that he has found happiness in the work he does. You can see his passion, throughout his work. It’s hard to believe that he is completely a self taught artist from a small town just outside Durban, Kwa Zulu Natal City Centre.

Wayne started off at a young age drawing cartoons, and copying what he had seen on the television. His love for drawing grew naturally, and his true colours began to show. Wayne tried for years to get into the Graphic Design Industry, and briefly held a temp job with Reebok S.A, but this did not last forever.

This young designer then felt his bubble had been burst, and continued in life, lost and despaired. Funny enough he was introduced to the world of computers by his brother. He worked throughout South Africa in the Conference Industry. He was responsible for the maintenance of over a hundred computers, and dealing with the delegates that needed help with their presentations.

After believing this was his future, and the closest that he would get to his dream job, Wayne was retrenched on 16^th April 2009, and found himself, without work. He spent his last few South African Rands he had on a new motherboard and processor, and shoved it into and old computer box. He signed up for domain hosting, and believed that his idea would work.

Wayne was to create a website, probably the first he had ever created. And with this website, he would have to find more clients. As desperate as he was, he spent day and night learning what he could. Yes, he messed up a lot, but he got better and better every day, in every way.

Almost two years later, he is still designing websites. Thanks to his loyal clientele, he has really grown over the past few years, and offers so much more. He specialises mostly in Joomla based websites, but has also ventured into many of the other types of content management systems offered.

He believes that a website should be a successful marketing tool that we should invest in and work on improving every day. It’s no use having your website designed by a company that is only interested in your money, but personal attention is so important, yet hard to find.

Wayne adds the cream to the cake by offering his clients his personal attention. He is always available, and always spends more time than he should on a client’s website. His day to day improvements and suggestions set him apart from the rest.
