Changing the world – one child at a time

Kruin Uiltjies parent committee is a parent initiative of a group of eager parents, which began in early 2010.

One of the objectives of this group is to raise funds for the school as well as creating awareness for parents and teachers alike.

This year, Kruin Uiltjies Parent Committee was very proud to host a self defense seminar on The Manger Centre grounds, on Saturday, 24 July to help raise awareness among woman about the “obvious” tools available to save your life.

After the first project being such a huge success we are now preparing for our next seminar, to be held on Saturday 21 August, addressing Child Abuse.

The statistics for child abuse, as taken for the Annual General Report for 2007:
275 cases of child abuse, 230 of which were of a sexual nature/ rape.
