Kurland Hotel Offers Oyster Indulgence at Pick n Pay’s Oyster and Wine Mardi Gra

The five-star Kurland Hotel, Plettenberg Bay, a proud member of Relais & Châteaux, will participate in one of the most celebrated annual events on the Garden Route, the ‘Pick n Pay’ Oyster and Wine Mardi Gras on Wednesday 7 July, which is part of the famous Knysna Oyster Festival. Kurland Hotel’s newly appointed Head Chef, Leon Coetzee will compete with 20 other prestigious restaurants, hotels and Chefs in the Oyster Recipe Competition. 

 

Visitors will have the opportunity to indulge on decadent oysters by the dozen prepared by the local Chefs from the Garden Route and surrounds. Each Chef is required to prepare three different unique dishes making use of this exotic delicacy. Kurland’s fine organic vegetable garden will be utilised to prepare Coetzee’s secret recipes.

This culinary event is hosted by the Garden Route region of the South African Chefs Association and raises thousands of Rands for local charities every year.
